Weekly Newsletter 15th April 2026 Good evening Bordesley Green Residents,
Welcome to our Weekly Roundup. A summary of what your local Neighbourhood officers have been up to over the last 6 days. We hope you enjoyed the Easter break.
Firstly, we started the set popping to ASDA. PC Eaton and PC Johnson hosted a drop-in surgery at ASDA on Bordesley Green. We spent the morning talking to those shopping and passing by. We handed out some crime prevention bits to those who felt like they would benefit from them. This is something we do regularly at ASDA and despite the cold weather it was great talking to the community! PC Sutheran headed over to Batchelors Farm Recreation Ground and conducted a weapons sweep of the area. As some of you were aware, Sgt Allen hosted his monthly Priority Setting meeting. Thank you to those that attended and voiced their queries and concerns. Officers checked in at some of our regular ASB hotspots on patch and completed relevant enquiries with partner agencies to address the issues. Throughout our shifts, we regularly issue tickets to cars double parked, causing an obstruction and in a dangerous position. We have seized 2 cars for no tax and on Wednesday officers seized three vehicles that were parked dangerously. Please be considerate and think twice about where you choose to park. Double parking prevents emergency vehicles from getting to someone who could be in a life-or-death situation.
Crimes of Note We take on board any feedback from the community, and it was noted in the Priority Setting Meeting that people want to know what crimes are occurring. Given that, Please ensure you are taking extra precautions when parking your vehicle. Leave no valuables inside your vehicle. Ensure it is locked. Try and park in a well-lit area. If you park outside your home address, consider purchasing CCTV that covers where your vehicle is parked. Use a dashcam with parking mode activated. Consider using wheel locks and Faraday pouches.
